Where we work
Same county, very different houses. What goes wrong in Frenchtown is not what goes wrong in Cottleville.
Our home base
The whole city — Old Town and Frenchtown with their pre-war housing, the mid-century neighborhoods west of them, and the newer construction out toward Zumbehl and Elm Point. Three very different eras of wiring inside one city limit.
The historic core
Missouri’s largest historic district. Homes here can predate residential electricity entirely, which means original knob and tube, ungrounded two-prong outlets, and panels that were modern in 1955. Work in the historic district may also involve design review.
West along 70
Mostly 1980s through 2000s construction. Fewer safety problems, more capacity problems — homeowners adding EV chargers, hot tubs, finished basements and shop circuits to panels that were sized for a smaller life.
South of the city
Newer subdivisions and larger homes. Generator transfer switches, whole-home surge protection and detached garage or shop feeds are the common calls out here.
Further west
Within our normal radius for scheduled work. Newer housing, so the work skews toward additions and upgrades rather than corrections.
North and east
Call and we will tell you honestly whether we can get there same-day or whether it needs to be booked. For a service upgrade or a panel replacement, the drive is never the issue.
One thing worth knowing: permitting differs depending on whether your address is inside city limits or in unincorporated St. Charles County. Tell us the address and we will tell you which applies before anything is scheduled.
